In the ancient city of Thebes (modern-day Luxor), we’ll gather to go on a journey of discovery into our true selves: that deep wellspring of stillness at the centre of our being.
Use Reiki for its prime function: to develop you energetically to transcend your ordinary self and take you on a journey of self-discovery. Healing just follows, and without all that hands-on healing stuff!
Back that up with a deep dive into mindfulness and esoteric Buddhist meditations to support and enhance the energetic work of the Reiki empowerments.
Use your new understanding of your essential being as a being of energy, to connect to the sacred energies of the temples and sites of Ancient Egypt.
Learn to express yourself and your connection to the world through developing your creative self.
If you’ve never taken training in Reiki before, or even if you have, do take advantage of the BONUS free training in Reiki Level 1 in the traditional form of Reiki known as Reiki Jin Kei Do. This is a unique training, unlike the majority of other Reiki training in the world, as it contains the heart teachings of the system that are not available elsewhere. These teachings are called Usui Shin Kai (the heart, or core teachings of Usui – Mikao Usui being the founder of the system).

We’ll be using what you learn in the Reiki class, primarily the connection made through the empowerment, to help us connect to the energetic nature of the sacred sites in this amazing part of the world. We’ll also be combining the abilities generated from that empowerment with deep meditation practices from mindfulness and esoteric Buddhism to help us discover our true nature – our deep, core selves. And then we’ll be learning methods to express ourselves – our true selves.

You will not need to have any artistic ability when it comes to the creative aspects of the retreat. All techniques and methods will be given during the workshops where you’ll have ample opportunity to develop your expressive skills. You’ll be connecting to yourself and the landscape around you in these focused activities. You’ll be encouraged to take photographs and drawings at the various sites that we visit, to use as source material for more complete works later.

You will also have opportunities to develop your mindfulness skills through guided sessions and tuition on how this affects the mind and what that means for an engagement with artistic activity. We’ll be looking at how artistic expression and mindful awareness come together to create a state of flow, which you can take into your everyday life.

​This unique 6-day experience seamlessly combines the serenity of mindfulness practices with a deep spiritual focus, the creative outlet of artistic expression, and the healing power of Reiki.
